Gold is trading at $1,758.00, on track to close the week nearly right where it began while silver is trading at $22.75, up about 1% from last week’s settlement price.  Stocks chipped away at some of last month’s losses this week,  but pulled back on Friday as September’s jobs report missed estimates but had some positives.  New payrolls came in very weak (194k vs 500k expected) but unemployment unexpectedly dropped to 4.8%, the lowest level since he pandemic began, however, some of this decline was offset by a drop in total workforce participation.
